Why IABI exists
It started from a simple problem: people who wanted to become aircraft brokers had almost nowhere legitimate to learn. The knowledge sat with whoever happened to be willing to pass it on, and plenty of people entered the business without understanding the regulations they were working under.

That's the longer ambition, and it's bigger than training: to contribute, in time, to proper regulation of the profession.
It's also why the curriculum comes out of live transactions rather than a textbook — verifying an operator's AOC and insurance before you put a client on an aircraft, how escrow and deposits actually work, which clauses in an LOI get negotiated, and what to escalate to an aviation attorney.
Certification is the start, not the finish
A certificate on its own doesn't win you a first client. These are the things that follow it.
